Belfast's Botanic Gardens is set to play host to a new immersive light installation this weekend.
Named 'BODY', the installation offers families and children a chance see a dazzling artistic display, as well as gain fascinating insight into our own human biology.
The installation is part of the NI Science Festival, which runs from February 17th-27th.
Here's everything you need to know about the new multi-sensory installation at Botanic Gardens this weekend.
What is it?
BODY is described as "an outdoor immersive journey through six zones relating to different parts of the human body, mixing human biology with light, special effects, sound and fire."
Using cutting-edge technology to create a deeper understanding of the science of the human form, BODY has been designed to inspire young and curious minds. The installation offers a range of options for educational engagement in STEAM subjects, with BAFTA award winning composer Sandy Nuttgens and Helen Hampton designing a soundscape for each area of the installation.
This is the first time BODY has been exhibited on the island of Ireland and only the second showcase of the work since its inception.
This is an outdoor, nighttime event for all ages, so visitors are asked to warm up warm when attending!
When will the installation be on display?
The BODY exhibition will run from Thursday 17 th – Sunday 20 th February.
