Speaking to Belfast Live, Peter Macklin, Regional Organiser for GMB Trade Union said: "GMB utterly condemns these attacks, as it does for any form of violence against any worker for simply doing their job.

"We are seeking an urgent meeting with management to have serious discussions about how this ongoing situation can be addressed, and how our members can be supported through these unacceptable actions."

A PSNI spokesperson said: "The suspect is described as being aged in his mid-20s, with ginger hair and was wearing a grey hooded top and dark coloured bottoms.

"Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone with any information to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 421 03/05/23. Alternatively, you can submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.

"You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at http://crimestoppers-uk.org."

A Translink spokesperson said they are assisting the PSNI investigation, by providing CCTV from the Glider vehicle, the halt and body cam footage.
