The official synopsis for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice reveals the impetus behind the titular ghost’s triumphant return. Picking up more than three decades after the events of 1988’s Beetlejuice, Michael Keaton will reprise his role as the outrageous “bio-exorcist” alongside original cast members Catherine O'Hara and Winona Ryder. New additions to the cast of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice include Monica Bellucci, Willem Dafoe, and Jenna Ortega as Astrid Deetz, the daughter of Winona Ryder’s Lydia Deetz.
Warner Bros. has released an official synopsis for the Beetlejuice sequel, confirming how Keaton’s character will return. The Deetz family returns to the township of Winter River following a family tragedy, and Astrid Deetz discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic of her family’s old home, inadvertently opening a portal to the Afterlife.
