As the warmer weather envelops the South West many people will be seeking spots for swimming during soaring temperatures, and somewhere to cool off with an ice cold drink afterwards. With it being a drive or a bus ride to the nearest beach, Bristol does have a few spots for wild swimming that aren't too difficult to get to.
However, there is no need to go so far. Conham River Park along the River Avon is a popular with wild swimmers and is actually within the city limits. There are several entry points into the river to plunge in and cool off in the scorching heat.
Along the riverside in Broomhill is the seasonally opened bar, Beeses, a pet-friendly pub that describes itself as Bristol's best kept secret. It has a luscious beer garden so you can kick back and relax by the water on a summer's evening.
