Becky Hill proved she’s made it to the top of her career – by having someone tie her shoelace on stage for her at TRNSMT.
The singer, who was wearing platforms alongside her multicoloured sequinned jumpsuit, became unstuck during her set as she told the Glasgow Green crowd she’d need to sit down and tie her shoelace.
Before she got a proper chance to attempt it, one of her crew came on and did it for her, much to the amusement of the watching revellers.
During her set the powerhouse singer, who is refreshingly down to earth, also confessed she’d stolen from Pete Tong.
Referring to her brass section and backing musicians, she revealed: “I’ve been touring with this lot with Pete Tong for five years and finally stole them - well, this section is as much as I am able to afford.”
Becky also reminisced about playing the smaller King Tut's stage last time she played the fest.
She said: “Hello TRNSMT - well it’s been quite the while since I’ve been back here and I was over there and you lot all shut the stage down. So thank you for having me back and putting me on this bloody massive stage.”
During her set she played hits like Wish You Well and covered You Got The Love as well as performing her new song Side Effects.
And she urged the crowd to bounce after telling them: “You are looking a bit flat today. Is it day three or something? Can you give me more energy?"
By the time she performed Remember the crowd were in the palm of her hand.
