Beauty buffs are raving about a £21 anti-wrinkle serum that makes skin look smoother and gives it a natural glow. The retinol serum, which has been hailed a 'beauty sleep in a bottle', is gentle enough for everyday use without it drying out skin, and those who have tried it insist it's the 'best anti-wrinkle product they have ever used'.
The anti-ageing serum is available for £30 at Boots, but is currently £20.95 on the Nip + Fab website. That makes for a purse-friendly saving of £9.05.
The budget anti-wrinkle retinol serum has managed to build up quite the fanbase. The concentrate has a similar texture to a serum and uses a 10% time-release retinol complex, with 0.3% of pure retinol, this increases cell turnover by penetrating the upper layers of skin. Retinol is widely considered to be a wonder ingredient in anti-ageing skincare.

It also contains Bakuchiol which is a naturally occurring alternative to retinol which aims to produce similar results. Matrixyl is a popular ingredient that targets fine lines and makes an appearance to help deliver a renewed complexion.
While retinol has a reputation for being drying, this treatment has been said to be comfortable on the skin with everyday use. It contains a hydration complex of hyaluronic acid and bisabol to plump the skin and instantly replenish moisture.
In a clinical trial of 32 people, tested twice a day over 30 days, 93% agreed that this is the best anti-wrinkle product they have ever used. Not only that but 93% insisted that the product significantly reduced the appearance of wrinkles and that their skin was more radiant after using this product. 90% of those in the trial said that the retinol treatment diminished the visible signs of ageing.
One shopper wrote: "I've been using retinol regularly for a while now, but no other product has had such an impact on my skin as this serum has. It really did seem to work some magic within the first night of using it. My skin just looks smoother and has a glow I've not has before. Really pleased I took the gamble and changed brands."
A second penned: "I've been using the product for 2 weeks and I notice a difference in my skin. It looks much smoother and brighter. The retinol is not too strong so I'm able to use the product every day, just once a day though."
A third said: "I'm using this as part of a comprehensive Nip and Fab regime. Definitely noticing a reduction in fine wrinkles and have only been using it nearly 3 weeks. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin at all, which is fantastic! I've tried retinol before and haven't been able to tolerate it. Very happy customer."
This product has been compared to Kiehl's £70 Retinol Skin-Renewing Daily Micro-Dose Serum and La Roche-Posay's £45 Retinol B3 Serum, but it's a fraction of the price.
You can buy Nip + Fab's Retinol Fix Concentrate Extreme 10% here for £20.95 or alongside four other products from the range in the Retinol Fix Fine Lines & Wrinkle Regime Kit for £59.95, this gives 45% off the actual cost of all five products.
