A "beautiful" woman found dead at a hotel "may not have intended to take her own life", an inquest heard.
Jazmine Mary Smith, from Birkenhead, had been living and working in Bangor as a bartender when she was discovered by a friend. The inquest, held today in Caernarfon, heard Miss Smith had checked in at the Menai View Hotel in Bangor on April 27. She went out to a pub and a hotel staff member heard her return to the property at around 1.30am.
But the following morning she was found in the hotel room by her friend. Miss Smith, 22, was confirmed dead at 10.49am on April 28.

North Wales Live reported the inquest was told Miss Smith had attempted to take her own life in 2015. She later reported a history of bullying to her liaison psychiatric nurse, saying she had been self-harming due to the "stress" of coursework and being "mentally and emotionally bullied online".
A post-mortem examination carried out by Dr Mark Atkinson on May 3 showed Miss Smith had a "very small amount of alcohol" in her system which was three times less than the drink driving limit. A provisional cause of death was given as hanging.
Delivering a narrative verdict, acting senior coroner for North West Wales, Katie Sutherland said: "Jazmine did have some history of mental health difficulties - albeit at least seven years ago - where she was referred to the community mental health team in Cheshire and the Wirral.
"She reported a history of bullying and had previously taken an overdose. However, there is no recent evidence to suggest she was struggling psychologically. The historical issues at school are quite possibly related to her state of mind but they go back at least seven years. I can't say even on balance taking all of the evidence before me into account that she intended to end her life.
"I don't make that presumption, despite how she was found. I can't safely reach a suicide conclusion." She added: "The question of intent remains unclear."
Speaking to the family, Ms Sutherland said: "I hear from you there were no concerns at all regarding her mental state. She was also not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Regrettably, there is never any inquest that answers every single question that you have, and I fully appreciate how difficult that is for you. There is no suggestion that this could have been anticipated in any way, hence the narrative conclusion."
Speaking previously to the ECHO, Miss Smith's brother Jerome said she was a "beautiful" person who "would do anything for anyone". He added she was "hugely selfless" who "made an effort and a big fuss" with everyone.
Jerome told the ECHO about one occasion where Jazmine returned home from a night out barefoot without her £200 Dr Martens' boots. Jazmine told her family she had lost the boots on the night out - but her friends said she'd actually taken the boots off and given them to a homeless person. Jerome said: "That's the kind of person she was - she'd rather have us believe she'd lost them because she didn't do it for attention. She was just a selfless person."
In a statement read out during the hearing Miss Smith's family described her as an "amazing daughter". They said: "She was so loving, kind and so giving. She adored her family. She is deeply missed by us all and her memory will be treasured always."
She leaves behind her parents, older brother Jerome, and younger siblings Owen and Sophia.
