After Dalvin Tomlinson’s departure in free agency, the Minnesota Vikings must now find a replacement. The upcoming NFL draft offers a multitude of options for interior defensive linemen that the team can potentially target.
In a recent mock draft by Jarrett Bailey of Bears Wire, he projected that the Vikings would select Bryan Bresee, a talented defensive lineman from Clemson University.
The Vikings are undergoing a defensive rebuild. A big playmaker in the middle of the defensive line would serve Brian Flores well.”
Heading into the offseason, Bresee was considered one of the top defensive linemen in this draft. With his impressive combination of speed, power, and agility, he poses a significant challenge to opposing offenses. Some teams may have concerns regarding his durability, given his history of injury. Bresee suffered a torn ACL in 2021 and had a medial issue that caused him to miss time in 2022.
If the Vikings are confident in his ability to stay healthy, they have the potential to develop Bresee into a formidable presence on their defensive line for many years to come.
