The Chicago Bears are starting to trim their roster down to 53 players ahead of Tuesday’s deadline.
The Bears announced that they’ve waived three undrafted rookies in wide receiver Kevin Shaa, center Corey Dublin and safety Jon Alexander.
Shaa signed with the Bears as an undrafted rookie out of Liberty. In three preseason contests with Chicago, Shaa had three catches for 42 yards, along with 1 rush for -1 yards.
Dublin, an undrafted rookie out of Tulane, joined Chicago with versatility along the offensive line at guard and center. He had a minicamp tryout with the Bears back in May before signing with the Bears ahead of the preseason.
Alexander signed as an undrafted rookie with Chicago this spring and was waived earlier this month. He soon re-signed with the Bears and registered 3 tackles and 1 QB hit in the preseason.
Chicago previously waived undrafted rookie offensive lineman Jean Delance with a non-football injury designation on Sunday.
