Bears quarterback Justin Fields had a career day against the Broncos, which unfortunately ended in a heartbreaking 31-28 loss.
Fields completed 28-of-35 passes for 335 yards (a career high) for four touchdowns (also a career high). He also made some impressive throws, which fans had been waiting for.
That started with a perfect first-half performance, where Fields completed 16-of-17 passes for 231 yards and three touchdowns for a perfect 158.3 passer rating. Fields’ only incompletion was on a Hail Mary attempt.
He broke an all-time Bears record for most consecutive completions with 16. That surpassed the previous record set by Shane Matthews, who had 15 against the Patriots on Dec. 10, 2000.
Fields has been nominated for FedEx Air Player of the Week following his career day against the Broncos. Also nominated: Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.
