Bears’ ’Name This Boy Band’ Post Backfires Tremendously After 0–4 Start

The Bears are off to a brutally slow star this season, to put it lightly. They enter Thursday night’s game against the Commanders as one of two winless teams in the league, joined by only the Panthers. Their 0-4 record has also come with plenty of drama beyond just the team’s inability to win a game, as numerous players, coaches and members of the front office are being scrutinized for their role in such a disappointing start to the season..

Therefore, ahead of the game in Washington, Chicago’s social media team tried to lighten the mood a bit with a post asking fans to give the team a boy band name based on a photo of five players.

Unfortunately for the Bears, fans appear to be far more worried about the 0—4 start than they are about picking boy band names, and the responses quickly proved that to be true. The results were a funny example of how not to provoke a disappointed fanbase.

If the Bears lose to the Commanders, they will have lost 15 straight games dating back to last season. That level of ineptitude has caused their fanbase to turn to humor to deal with the disappointment.
