The Chicago Bears continue to fill out their offensive coaching staff under new offensive coordinator Shane Waldron.
The Bears are hiring Jason Houghtaling as thei assistant offensive coordinator coach, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Houghtaling’s coaching experience mostly comes at the collegiate level. But he joined the Tennessee Titans as an assistant offensive line coach in 2021, and two years later he was promoted to offensive line coach. At the college level, Houghtaling has served as offensive line coach, offensive coordinator and head coach with stops at Wagner and Cornell.

Houghtaling will join current offensive line coach Chris Morgan in continuing to develop some young pieces along the offensive line, including Darnell Wright, Teven Jenkins, Braxton Jones and any incoming rookie.
The Bears have made the following hires under Waldron: Kerry Joseph (quarterbacks coach), Chad Morton (running backs coach), Chris Beatty (wide receivers coach), Thomas Brown (passing game coordinator) and now Houghtaling.
