BCCI mandates Indian passport for tournaments

BCCI India the Board of Control for Cricket in India Cricket Mumbai the Apex Council

MUMBAI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made it mandatory for a player to have an Indian passport to be eligible to participate in the BCCI tournaments.

Earlier, a player was allowed to participate even if he/she had a PIO/ OCI (Person of Indian Origin/ Original Country India) card.
