BBC Weather has predicted that Liverpool is set for a white Christmas.
The forecasters expect that Merseyside will have light snow and a gentle breeze throughout the day on December 25, 2022. Temperatures are expected to be as low as 2 degrees with highs of 5 degrees.
The snow is expected to fall between 6am and 8am followed by sleet up until 11am. This means that there is a chance the North West will be waking up to a white blanket as they open their presents on Christmas Day.

In the run up to Christmas, the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning across Liverpool for snow and ice. It is in place from 3am to 9pm on Sunday (December 18).
Temperatures continue to be below average for December, with travel disruption as freezing conditions have brought some services to a standstill. Forecasters say skies through much of the night again mean temperatures will plummet leading to a hard frost and some freezing fog patches.
