BBC viewers were left stunned after a twist involving Lee Mack.
The latest episode of Inside No. 9 aired on Thursday (May 18) night on BBC Two. Viewers watching the episode live were met with a message moments after it started.
The episode was advertised as 'Hold on Tight', inspired by '60s and '70s sitcom 'On the Buses'. A poster and trailer had been released by creators Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton for the episode, but things were not as they seemed.

The announcer stated the episode would not air as planned and would be replaced by a game show, hosted by Lee Mack. Southport-born Lee presented '3 by 3', which featured nine players competing for a cash prize.
It seemed to be a normal quiz show. However, the episode ended with an unexpected turn of events and the Inside No. 9 credits rolled.
A number of viewers were shocked and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
@rosie_posie said: "3 by 3 on inside no.9 really caught me out! My mum called me in to watch the “new quiz show with Lee Mack” and I thought that oakwood family were so bloody weird".

@bethany1marie was left with many questions. She said: "did they invent a whole fake episode and create stills for it……or is that still to come in two weeks??? so many questions. steve and reece are geniuses actually".
