GLASGOW is set to become the “City of the Gaels” as the Royal National Mòd gets underway, with record numbers taking part in the world's largest celebration of Scottish Gaelic culture.
The nine-day festival begins on Friday, with around 10,000 competitors, performers and visitors expected to descend on the city for almost 300 events celebrating Gaelic language, music and heritage.
