BBC's The Traitors is the nail-biting game show that currently has viewers hooked. Presented by Claudia Winkleman, the competition sees 22 contestants head to a castle in the Scottish Highlands for the ultimate game of detection, backstabbing and trust.
While the players work together to put money in a prize pot, hidden amongst them are the traitors who have been handpicked by Claudia to "murder" one of their co-stars every night. Everyone else in the game is labelled a faithful and it's their job to detect the traitors and banish them from the game before they become their next victims.
Viewers are loving the highly intense show that sees the contestants take part in heated roundtable debates before eliminating somebody from the game. However, even some of the faithfuls are holding secrets, some of which include Alex, and the now-eliminated Tom, concealing their relationship from the team.

Maddy Smedley also revealed to viewers early on that she was an actor, but said she wouldn't be sharing that arguably crucial information with the group. Maddy, who is also a receptionist, has had roles in two big soaps. Maddy revealed during the episode that aired on Tuesday, December 13 that she'd appeared in multiple episodes of Eastenders in 2021 as Rita and starred in an episode of Casualty earlier this year as Jasmine.
She told the camera away from her fellow players: "I do work in a care home but my main passion is acting. I played Rita in EastEnders – the homeless woman, and also I played someone without a womb in Casualty. I feel like it means like I can spot if someone's putting on a performance."
The penny then dropped for some viewers at home, with one writing: "OMG Maddy played Rita the homeless woman in EastEnders," while another added: "Can't believe ar Maddy was in Eastenders, bring homeless Rita back I say."
And a third commented: "Was not expecting The Traitors EastEnders cross-over episode."
Maddy isn't the only player in the line-up with acting credits, John McManus, who was "murdered" by the traitors, has also appeared on EastEnders. Meanwhile, Meryl Williams has appeared on the BBC reboot of the classic game show Blankety Blank. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
