The Traitors is a brand new game show from BBC hosted by Claudia Winkleman. The series sees 22 contestants head to a castle in the Scottish Highlands for a game of deception and discovery, where £120,000 is up for grabs.
Described as a "nail-biting psychological competition," the contestants must work as a team to complete physical and mental missions. However, there's a huge twist as hidden among the group are some Traitors, who are selected by Claudia at the start of the game.
While the viewers know who the Traitors are, the rest of the contestants don't. The Traitors' role is to 'murder' one of their fellow players every night while remaining undetected, meanwhile, the others, who are called the Faithfuls, must try and work out who is betraying them and get them eliminated.

Only those still standing at the end will have a chance at winning the prize pot. If they are all Faithfuls at the end they will share it, but if a Traitor still stands then they will win it all.
However, as viewers were introduced to the 22 contestants, which you can find out more about here, Claudia made a "savage" move that sent two players home before they'd even had a chance to get started or even step foot inside the castle.
Telling the contestants she wanted to run a little experiment, the Strictly host asked them all to line up in order of who was most likely to win and who was least likely to win. Amos, a 30-year-old doctor, placed himself at the bottom, as did Kieran, 42, who said: "I thought I don't want to be the c**ky, confident one at the end thinking you've got this, you'll win hands down, so I thought I'd rock up at the end space."
However, what came next shocked everyone, as Claudia coldly said: "Every decision you make, every single one, has a consequence, so you two, you think you’re going to lose... I’m going to take you at your word." She then added: "So I'm afraid it's goodbye. I'd like you to leave the grounds immediately."
Amos, Kieran, and everyone in the line looked horrified, as fellow contestant Theo told cameras: "Claudia is a complete and utter savage. I know she’s an icon and all but she is not playing."
Meanwhile, 72-year-old Andrea joked: "I was furious, my immediate wish was to get hold of Claudia and throw her over the banister."
Taking it one step further, an unphased Claudia then told the contestants "no cuddling guys, that's a different show," as Amos and Kieran tried to say their goodbyes.
Viewers at home were equally shocked, with one writing on social media: "This is not cuddly #Strictly Claudia! This Claudia is a *savage*!"
While a second added: "I'm kind of liking Claudia being so mean! Must be hard for her."
And a third said: "I honestly really like this show. And whoever gave Claudia Winklemen the gig, is a total genius, her savagery in the first episode even before it started is something else."
"Can't handle Claudia being ruthless!" said a fourth. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
