The Traitors is back with a bang as the whole boxset of the American version has landed on BBC iPlayer. Just months after the UK series, fronted by Claudia Winkleman, a brand new batch of contestants are back in Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands for a game of backstabbing lies and deceit.
The US edition works in exactly the same way, and takes place in exactly the same location, only this time the series is presented by Alan Cumming and the contestants are a mix of celebrities and civilians. A synopsis for the series reads: "Twenty of America’s most cunning contestants, a mix of famous faces and everyday Americans, play the ultimate murder mystery game of deception and suspicion.
"Hosted by award-winning actor Alan Cumming at an ancient castle in Scotland, they will work together on exhilarating missions to build a prize fund worth up to $250,000. But hidden amongst the Faithful contestants are the Traitors, whose goal is to eliminate the Faithful and claim the prize for themselves, all the while remaining undetected.
