BBC The Traitors star Alyssa has spoken out following her shock banishment from the show. The 22-year-old was one of three players chosen by presenter Claudia Winkleman to be a traitor, the other two contestants picked at the beginning of the show were Amanda, 54, an estate agent from Swansea, and senior fundraiser, Wilfred, 28.
The traitors make up a team of 22 and have to remain hidden within the group, helping their fellow players add to the prize pot while simultaneously "murdering" one of them every night. The others are called the faifthfuls and their job is to work out who the traitors are and banish them before they become their next victims.
Throughout the first half of the series, the traitors went largely undetected and worked together to throw others off their scent, however, in the latest instalment Wilfred threw fellow traitor Alyssa under the bus after he was accused during a round table deliberation.

"We always keep saying, 'lets do something different', so I'm going to do something different and go for someone who I don't think is loud so I'm going to go for Alyssa," he said as his co-conspirator looked on in shock. He then added: "I don't buy all of the acting stuff from yesterday. I'm going to do something different and stick to my guns as I'm sick of changing my mind." You can read more on this here.
In another shock move, Amanda then also voted for Alyssa and warned Wilfred she'd turn into a Welsh dragon if he didn't have her back going forward. Viewers at home were stunned by the betrayal and now Alyssa has broken her silence.
Taking to Instagram, the business student touched upon her "super difficult role" as a traitor within the group and confirmed there's no bad blood. Sharing a string of pictures from the show, she wrote: "The end of an era for me. Can’t be more thankful for the experience and support I’ve received on The Traitors.
"I had a super difficult role and did my best to compete without compromising my morals and I’d like to think that’s exactly what I did!"
She added: "So much love to everyone watching and messaging, but most importantly, the cast and crew. I’ve made friendships that I know will last a lifetime. Love to everyone and can I just reiterate, I am okay! May have a knife wound in my back and ugly cried but it’s all love. Can’t wait for whatever’s next."
Claudia left three hearts under the post and Alyssa responded by telling her she missed her. "Miss you too," the presenter replied.
