BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Richie Anderson fights back tears after 'outrageous' exit

Radio host Richie Anderson holds back tears during his emotional interview with presenter Rylan Clarke on Strictly It Takes Two. The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant was booted off the BBC dance show on Sunday night's episode along with his Italian partner Giovanni Pernice.

Richie fought back tears after admitting to having had such an "amazing" time on the show, which was sadly cut short. The 34-year old shared that he was grateful to have met some "incredible people" during his Strictly journey and was "proud" of everything he was able to accomplish during his time.

As reported by MyLondon, Giovanni, 32, gushed over how "proud" he is of the star, saying: "You should see the effort he puts in the room everyday as well, he really wants to get it right. I'm glad he got to do this experience."

The pair were eliminated from the show after being placed in the bottom two alongside Fleur East and Vito Coppola. It came after Kaye Adams and Kai Widdrington became the first to be voted off last week.

Fans were quick to express their outrage on Sunday, with some labelling it 'scandalous'. One viewer wrote: "This is absolutely shocking!!! Neither of them deserve to be in the bottom two, what an absolute joke." While another added: "Ridiculous! Neither Fleur nor Richie should be in the bottom two."

And a third commented: "Furious! Really furious! Neither should have been in the dance-off." "Neither couple deserved to be in bottom two!" said a fourth. "So very sad!"
