BBC Strictly Come Dancing viewers upset as Giovanni Pernice makes announcement

Giovanni Pernice has left BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans gutted after announcing the dates for his solo tour next year. Viewers of the show are upset as the dates mean he will miss the Strictly arena tour again.

The professional dancer is not taking part in the Strictly tour this year, which sees many of the show's stars entertain fans around the country. Instead, he is currently touring his solo show Made in Italy , and he has now revealed that his next tour, Let Me Entertain You, will take place at the same time next year, BirminghamLive reports.

“There you go!!” he wrote, as he posted a list of next year's dates on Instagram. “Just few more venues to be added .. if you don’t see your local venue in the list is Because the show is going to be bigger than even - so maybe the stage Doesn’t fit our set … ( so you can have an idea of how big I want it to be).”

He also shared a link to his website, where people can book tickets. Someone using the name @flowers_at_the_barn asked: “What if you win strictly? Will you not be going on the strictly tour?” To which Giovanni replied: “Nope !!”

@kellysmam commented: “Oooh, you little fibber Mr Pernice, you told me only last week you would be on the tour next year, naughty lol.”

Meanwhile @redheadsdoitbest worried the star might be leaving Strictly altogether, writing: “Are you leaving strictly? Tbh I need another reason not to watch it this year anyway and you leaving would be the final nail for me to stop watching it.” But other fans reassured her that it was only the tour that he had said he would miss.

Giovanni's Let Me Entertain You tour is described as an “unforgettable experience”. The Strictly star is joined on stage by “world class” dancers and West End performers, and fans are promised “a show of non-stop action – prepare to be entertained”.

Other followers expressed their excitement ahead of seeing the show next year. @lockstepdance said: “Sounds like it's going to be epic!” And @bunnygirl78 added: “Got my ticket. Surprise Christmas present for my daughter.”

@celebratebsl praised Giovanni for making his shows accessible to all, commenting: “I can’t wait! For the first time I have a good seat and a meet and greet ticket - no bringing binoculars this time to see the interpreter from afar.

“You’re setting an example by having several shows with BSL (British Sign Language) and advertising this at the time the tickets are first released. Other touring companies, please take note - this is inclusion.”

Giovanni won the 2021 series of Strictly alongside EastEnders star Rose Ayling Ellis. But in 2022 he faced an early exit, having been paired with Richie Anderson.
