Matt Goss is the latest celebrity announced to the joining the Strictly Come Dancing 2022 line-up.
Over the last week, fans have been surprised with contestants almost every day as the 80s singer is taking a break from America after 25-years living stateside. Alongside today's exciting announcement, BBC One has been teasing content ahead of this year, and fans are thrilled that the line up has started to be announced.
This Morning exclusively revealed that the former Bros frontman would be taking to the Strictly stage, as Matt chatted to co-hosts Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle. As well as discussing Strictly, Matt added fans can expect a return of Bros as he teased a musical return for the duo.
Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas, and Anton Du Beke are returning to the panel, while four new professionals are joining the line-up. They are European cup winner Vito Coppola, Chinese National Champion Carlos Gu, former Under 21 British National Champion Lauren Oakley and Latin dance champion Michelle Tsiakkas.
Speaking about signing up on the show, Matt - who recently returned to the UK - confessed it was so under wraps that he even had his own nickname for producers to use to ensure the secret wasn't revealed. "I am looking forward to being home and meeting new people," he said.
He admitted his nerves for the upcoming series. He also insisted he would be back on stage with his brother Luke Goss soon too. He added in a statement: "I’m extremely nervous and excited, but I’m optimistic because I’m very supple from the knees down."
Alongside Matt, Kiss FM presenter, Tyler West, was the seventh celebrity contestant confirmed for the brand new series of the BBC ballroom dancing show. When asked how he felt to join the series, he buzzed: "I am SO gassed to be joining the Strictly family!"
He joins Paralympic champion and broadcaster, Ellie Simmonds, comedian Jayde Adams, TV and radio presenter Richie Anderson and Loose Women's Kaye Adams' whose involvement was confirmed last week. BBC One kicked off their announcements a day earlier with actors Will Mellor and Kym Marsh confirmed to be taking part.
The Launch Show is confirmed for September 7, leaving just over a month between now and the beginning of the competition.
