BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans make Kym Marsh prediction as show opens

Fans of Strictly Come Dancing made a prediction about Kym Marsh just minutes into the first live show of 2022.

A line-up of 15 new celebrities have donned their dancing shoes for a new series of the ballroom show Singers,soap stars and comedians are among the line-up this year and they'll be looking to wow experts Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood with their new skills.

Kym Marsh opened the show with her professional partner Graziano Di Prima.

The Morning Live presenter was born in Whiston - and is part of a star-studded line-up that includes Loose Women's Kaye Adams and former Arsenal defender Tony Adams. Kym Marsh has revealed she has opted to compete on the show this year in tribute to her dad, who has been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer.

She and Graziano performed a jive, scoring a decent 23 out of 40 from the judging panel. And the performance led to many viewers at home making the same prediction.

Taking to Twitter, Eileen said: "For a first dance from Kym that was great and I think she will get more bounce and confidence as she progresses". Lisa said: "Kym danced really well. It’s early days but think it will be between her and Fleur".

Steph said: "Kym was great and she'll get better and better each week, bring on Blackpool". Maggie said: "Well done Kym, first on, not easy however you smashed it. Keep learning and keep enjoying".
