BBC have confirmed their upcoming schedule for the next 10 days - including the postponed Strictly Come Dancing launch.
Shows have found themselves shelved or postponed owing to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. The monarch died on Thursday, and since then, multiple channels have switched to air documentaries about the Queen and rolling news coverage.
Now the BBC have announced their planned schedule for some of their biggest shows coming up including the launch of Strictly, the beginning of the hotly anticipated series 2 of Bloodlands. The postponed Celebrity MasterChef final has also got a new air date, whilst the BBC have also confirmed they will show both Paddington movies in a special tribute to the Queen.
Understandably, there will remain to be a focus on the Queen's legacy and her final journey ahead of her funeral. Documentaries will air whilst there will also be news coverage of the biggest events in the coming days. This will include HM The Queen: The Vigil, The Eve of the State Funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II, and full coverage of The State Funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
The One Show - usually airing in the early evening slot on BBC One - will broadcast special shows called Our Queen Remembered, as they document the monarch's effect on the wider world, sharing stories by those who knew her and met her.
Paddington will air on BBC One on Saturday September 18, whilst the second movie will follow on the day of the Queen's funeral, Monday September 19. The Queen and Paddington have a long history together, and they even featured alongside one another in a very special sketch about marmalade sandwiches as they marked Her Majesty's recent Platinum Jubilee.
Bloodlands series two will launch on Sunday September 18. It stars James Nesbitt in the lead role. Whilst Frozen Planet II - with the much loved Sir David Attenborough - will also air on the same day.
Crossfire - which stars Line Of Duty and The Bodyguard actress Keeley Hawes - will get its premiere on Tuesday September 20, and will run on continuous nights until Thursday September 22. Keeley plays Jo, a unsuspecting guest at a luxurious Canary Islands hotel resort who finds herself caught up in a horror gun attack on the luxury property.
The fourth series of Ghosts and Am I Being Unreasonable?, a new comedy series, will air on Friday September 23.
Celebrity MasterChef's final episode will air on Thursday September 20, whilst Strictly Come Dancing will get its much-anticipated launch on Friday September 23, with the first live show airing on Saturday September 24 as planned.
