BBC's Martin Roberts turns 'hippie' as he arrives at Glastonbury

BBC star Martin Roberts has arrived at Glastonbury ready to celebrate all things "peace and love".

The Homes Under the Hammer star, 60, said it's "that time of year" again as he filmed an Instagram video from Worthy Farm's Stone Circle. He said he is going to "regress to all the things that are good, the hippiedom, the peace the love, the niceness that is Glastonbury" after arriving at the festival as soon as the gates opened.

It comes after Martin recently told his social media followers, who he calls his friends, that his much-loved dad had died earlier this year.

He later thanked people for their outpouring of support and said he was "humbled" for the response he had received. And as he updated fans from Glastonbury he added: "If you're coming here come and say hi.

"I hope you have a wonderful time. Happy Glastonbury!"

Fans have rushed to comment with many hoping Martin enjoys himself. Caroline said: "Have a fab time, you deserve to", while Mandy said: "Enjoy, what a special moment".

Carole said: "Enjoy, you deserve a break" and Geraldine said: "Enjoy the break Martin. Eat, drink, dance like no one is watching lol. Seriously though after all you’ve been through you are still smiling and generously sharing your stories with us".
