Popular BBC show Line of Duty is to return to our screens next year, according to reports.
The show, which stars Martin Compston, Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar, is said to be returning for a three part special after the season six finale left "unfinished business", writes The Mirror.
The trio, who play characters based within an anti-corruption unit, are all said to be up for taking part.
Fans have been desperate for the show to return after season six ended last year, and the notorious bent copper 'H' was unveiled.
But despite the much anticipated grand unveiling, viewers were a bit disappointed, claiming the ending was underwhelming.
Many will be hoping that the next instalment provides answers and perhaps writer Jed Mercurio will reveal who H truly is. According to reports, the episodes will reportedly be filmed in the spring and could be on our screens as early as next Christmas.
A source told The Sun: “There was a very strong feeling, particularly among fans, that there was unfinished business with Line of Duty.
“The question is whether the person we were led to believe was H really is the villain that AC-12 has been hunting or if it was another nemesis.
“There’s also a theory another, darker puppet-master is at work."
