BBC's Katie Price: What Harvey Did Next: Star admits she was 'relieved' to hear Harvey had smashed up college shop

Katie Price: What Harvey Did Next will air next week, and take us on the tricky journey of leaving home and navigating college alongside 19-year-old Harvey Price. The emotional documentary details Harvey saying goodbye to his mum, Katie Price, 43, as he heads to the National Star College in Gloucestershire, miles away from home.

Harvey, who has Prader-Willi syndrome, septo-optic dysplasia, autism, and a learning disability, will experience the highs and lows of college life. Viewers will feel every frustration and happiness as they watch Harvey tackle his biggest challenge yet, The Mirror reports.

And although he is fully settled in his new home just up the M5 now, the raw documentary follows Harvey as he first arrives at college, and struggles. At one point during his first few days at college, Harvey becomes so frustrated that he smashes up the college shop.

Under the watchful eye and nurturing care of staff at the college, Harvey's carers have to work out their own ways of dealing the challenging behaviours Harvey exhibits as he settles into his new way of life, without his mum. The college staff soon work out that the best way to persuade Harvey to take his medication is to film him taking it, then sending it to Katie.

Harvey can sometimes be very reactive when it comes to being asked to do things. This is evidenced in one scene, which sees Harvey not being able to cope with the expectation placed on him by one of his carers.

His anxiety gets the best of him, and he bashes his head against the wall before falling to the floor and crying in the difficult scene. Harvey's carers are eventually able to calm him down by assisting him in taking deep breaths and telling him to 'use his words' as they remind him that it is important for him to leave his dorm.

Tasked with work experience at the college shop, Harvey's anxiety heightens and he starts destroying a bathroom door. After calming down a bit, Harvey makes the decision to return to work and decorate the walls of the shop with stars, which earns him the praise of college staff.

"Sometimes, Harvey does need to break something," His carer informed the cameras.

"In that case, we can only keep Harvey as safe as possible. We let him break that item and then we remove it because for Harvey, that's when it's over. That's when it's finished."

Although this scene may suggest that Harvey is very upset, his mum Katie admitted that she was 'relieved' to hear that Harvey had been smashing his room up at college. The former glamour model and Loose Women star shares Harvey with ex-boyfriend Dwight Yorke, and said that she did not get upset with her son as his actions indicated that he felt 'extremely settled' at the National Star College.

Lifting the lid on Harvey's outburst in an interview with OK! Magazine, the mum-of-five said: "I said to the staff at the college, 'I'm so happy that he's done all this because now I know he's really settling in',

"They are now living and breathing what I've had all these years."

Katie Price: What Harvey Did Next airs on Monday, March 7 at 9pm on BBC One.
