THE headlines across the UK have been dominated by one person since Wednesday morning: Nicole Sturgeon. Is that right? We got it from the BBC.
The embarrassing blunder came from Jeremy Vine’s talk show on BBC Radio 2, which said in its description on the Sounds App that it will be discussing: “Nicole Sturgeon and love bombing.”
You might think that after more than eight years at the head of the SNP and serving as Scotland’s First Minister the journalists at the Beeb could have learned how to spell her name…
We'd like to say that the error was quickly fixed, but at the time of writing it is STILL THERE.
It should also be noted that the "love bombing" was not a reference to Boris Johnson's plans to stop Scottish independence.
Instead, it was a discussion on a new BBC podcast called "Love-Bombed".
But the BBC’s "Nicole" mistake is far from the worst thing to come out of the UK’s media since Sturgeon announced her resignation on Wednesday.
It is a crowded field, but perhaps that award could go to the BBC’s Glenn Campbell, the Telegraph’s Allister Heath, or GB News’s Dan Wootton.
Is it any wonder she’s tired?
