Alex Jones has been very busy lately. The 46-year-old is back on The One Show each weeknight following a short break over the Easter Holidays and is also on screens every Thursday with her new and emotional BBC Two show, Reunion Hotel.
The Welsh presenter, who shares three children — Teddy, Kit, and Annie — with her husband Charlie Thompson, has also appeared on a number of podcasts and daytime television shows recently to promote the series which reunites people with special individuals from their past.
On Thursday, April 20, Reunion Hotel saw a man finally meet his daughter Ruth for the first time after decades of searching. When arriving at the hotel Kwesi explained his daughter was born in Carmarthen when he was 25 but he had never met her.
The reunion was emotional with Ruth bursting into tears as soon as she met Kwesi. After a hug, Kwesi told her through tears: "You've been on my mind for a long old time... I've always wanted to just find you and tell you who you are." You can read more on this here.
However, Alex, who presents the show from Iscoyd Park in Wrexham, later took to social media to say she wasn't able to tune into the episode due to "some drama going on at home" and also teased she needed a lie down after having singer Donny Osmond as a guest on the famous green sofa.
Sharing an update on her Instagram Story, Alex told her 347K followers: "Hope that those of you who watched Reunion Hotel tonight enjoyed. What lovely stories eh? You can watch all of the series now on @bbciplayer.
"We have some drama going on at home so I missed tonight plus I need a lie down after Donny Osmond on The One Show." Music Legend Donny appeared on The One Show to discuss his Las Vegas show coming to the UK.
The Puppy Love hitmaker took a selfie with Alex and co-host Ronan Keating before discussing bringing his show. He said: "It's so exciting because yes, I'm bringing my Vegas show to the UK, but there is a segment, I've always wanted to do this and technologically we can do it now.
"I put all 65 albums in the show. The audience can pick any song from any album, I put them on a huge screen and they can pick any song from any album. And we do it just like that, so the show changes every night." For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
