Alex Jones's new BBC show Reunion Hotel often tugs on the heartstrings and Alex herself was brought to tears when she met Sam and Nova and heard their story. Sam, who is a mother of four, wanted to meet the care home workers who fundraised to raise money for Nova to have a life-changing medical suit.
Nova has a rare condition, which is so rare it doesn't have a name, and means part of her DNA and chromosomes are missing and she has a hole in her heart, lung problems and limited eyesight and ears. With the money raised by Ann and her staff at the local care home, the family were able to buy Nova a special suit meaning she can now walk with aid. Speaking to Sam about why she wanted to reunite with Ann and say thank you, Alex became emotional.
