BBC presenter Clive Myrie has confirmed that he has escaped Ukrainian capital Kyiv, as he shared a devastating message about the ongoing war. The journalist, 57, has been praised for his bravery having reported in the city everyday until the very last moment.
Clive, who has been reporting from Kyiv alongside BBC Chief International Correspondent Lyse Doucet, posted a photo of a vehicle stuck in traffic as he shared his thoughts on the devastation that the Russian invasion has wreaked on Ukraine, reports the Mirror.
Clive wrote: "It was a long, day of driving and queuing to get out of Kyiv. Imagine having to leave all you know in a hurry because you’re being shelled! What do you pack? Do pets come too? It’s freezing cold and you pray those in neighbouring countries will welcome you, not despise you!
