News broke of the possible resignation of Prime Minister Boris Johnson from the Conservative Party on Wednesday evening and BBC News was one of the many outlets reporting the latest updates.
Now Johnson's resignation has been confirmed and official statements have been made. But one late-evening segment caught the eye of the UK public for another reason altogether. As Ros Atkins hosted a segment detailing the leadership of Boris Johnson, news anchor Tim Wilcox appeared on television for a brief second.

The presenter was caught off guard, scrolling on his mobile phone with his feet up on the news desk in the live BBC News studio. It was clear Tim wasn't expecting to be broadcast live at the minute he was, as he quickly readjusted.
Despite his quick reaction it wasn't long before this clip went viral. TV critic and broadcaster Scott Bryan posted the video on social media.
He shared the hilarious footage and wrote: "INCREDIBLE SCENES: BBC News accidentally cut away to their news studio, showing a presenter with their feet on the desk."
The video has been viewed a whopping 4.3 million times on Twitter, with over 10.6K retweets and 94.4K likes as of 3.30pm on Thursday. Many Twitter users found the hilarity in the clip and could relate to the TV presenter.
One wrote: "To be honest we’re all doing the same right now."
Another commented: "I laughed so hard seeing this live. You love to see it."
And a third wrote: "Even BBC are scrolling through Twitter for the memes and updates."
Another posted: "Says it all."
While a fifth wrote: "Caught red-handed,"
And another posted: "He is all of us."
