BBC makes Call The Midwife Christmas special revelation as actors named for new prequel series

A new prequel to the beloved Call The Midwife series, featuring guest stars including Julie Hesmondhalgh and Bally Gill, is set to explore the origins of Nonnatus House.

Titled Call The Midwife: Sisters In Arms, the three-part Christmas special will delve into the early days of the east London convent, home to the dedicated nurses, midwives, and Anglican nuns familiar from the original hit show.
