BBC Killing Eve: How did series 3 end?

BBC drama Killing Eve, starring Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh, is back for the fourth and final series as the entangled lives of Eve and Villanelle's messy relationship and Carolyn's hunt for Kenny's killer continues.

New writer, Laura Neal who also wrote the Netflix hit series Sex Education, is taking over the script and story for the fourth series with previous writers for the show including Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Killing Eve is based on the Villanelle novels by Luke Jennings and the third series focused on Eve, played by Sandra Oh, and Carolyn, played by Fiona Shaw, trying to find out who killed Carolyn's son Kenny, played by Sean Delaney.

Meanwhile, in the previous series Villanelle was beginning to realise she did not want to be an assassin for the crime organisation The Twelve and that she would rather use her specific skill set to work for MI6.

The series finished with Carolyn killing her former MI6 boss, Paul, who was also suspected to be the leader of The Twelve, to avenge the death of her son and letting her former lover and The Twelve member Konstantin go free.

Throughout series three the possibility of a genuine romantic relationship between Eve and Villanelle was teased with both of them meeting on a London Bridge in the final episode.

They both agreed to stand back to back and then walk away from each other without looking back, putting any hope of a relationship to bed, however both turned back and smiled at each other, hinting at more to come for the pair.

Series four will also follow Carolyn as she continues her search to find her son's killer and bring justice for his death, as well as trying to end The Twelve.

Killing Eve series four begins on BBC iPlayer on Monday, February, 28 with episodes expected to drop every Monday on iPlayer.
