The BBC has issued a statement of apology after accidentally displaying a caption celebrating Beyonce's achievements alongside an image of Viola Davis on Monday morning.
Reacting to Beyonce's record-breaking haul at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, the BBC showed a photograph of actress and producer Viola Davis overlayed with the caption "Beyonce's big night."
Social media users were quick to screenshot the error and share it widely, and the BBC has now acknowledged its mistake.

A spokesperson for the BBC wrote: "We apologise for the mistake last night when our news channels briefly showed a photograph of Viola Davis from January’s Golden Globes alongside a headline about Beyoncé at yesterday’s Grammys.
"This fell below the BBC’s usual standards."
Sunday night was a historic one for Beyonce as the 41-year-old singer became the most decorated artist in Grammy history, winning in the Best Dance/Electronic Album, Best Dance/Electronic Recording, Best Traditional R&B Performance and Best R&B Song categories to take her total tally at the world's most prestigious music awards ceremony to 32.
Viola Davis was present at the Grammys to collect her award for Best Audio Book, Narration & Storytelling Recording for her memoir Finding Me, while she also presented an award.
The BBC's error and apology come little over a week after the broadcaster was forced to apologise for referring to Irish actor Paul Mescal as British, a mistake which sparked more than 600 complaints from the public.
