Liverpool residents won't receive priority tickets for the Eurovision Song Contest.
The BBC revealed the sale date and pricing structure yesterday with fans instantly going into meltdown. Millions of people around Europe are expected to flock to Ticketmaster on Tuesday, March 7, with no one receiving special treatment.
As it stands, purchasing tickets for any of the nine shows will be a free for all on a first come first served basis. Some local Liverpool residents assumed there would be priority tickets in place for those living within the L postcode.

However, no note of priority tickets for Scousers was mentioned during the announcement. When asked why locals weren't offered an early release, a spokesperson for the BBC told the Liverpool Echo: "Eurovision is a huge international event which sees 37 countries take part.
"As host city, Liverpool will become a hub of Eurovision activity come May with a 12-day culture festival and the Eurovision Village on the Pier Head already confirmed."
Eurovision fans still won't know exactly how much they will pay for a ticket until they reach checkout, with prices ranging from £30 - £380 depending on the desired night and seat locations.
