BBC Garden Rescue hit with endless complaints over 'embarrassing' makeover

BBC Garden Rescue viewers have hit out at a recent transformation, labelling it 'embarrassing'.

The episode of the BBC show saw host Charlie Dimmock faced with an the enormous task of transforming a garden at a property in Mickleover.

Viewers were then introduced to homeowners Elaine and Paul, who told Charlie all about their love of vintage and especially, 1950's themed interior, music, clothes, and more.

If that wasn't bold enough, Eliane also shared her love of fairies and asked Charlie to kindly keep that in mind when transforming the garden.

For £3,000, Charlie and Chris created a garden inspired by the vintage rock and roll era of the 1950's.

Charlie also made sure to inject a sprinkle of fairytale into the new space, as per Elaine's request.

Despite the effort, viewers were left unimpressed by the final result of the garden transformation, as one called it 'embarrassing' while another slammed it was 'tacky'.

"£3,000 for that. 2 huge exhausts sticking out a water feature and the new turf looked awful, gaps where it all joined poor workmanship," one fumed.

"Wow what a waste of money," another complained, while someone echoed: "Worst garden ever."

"That is such a tacky garden. I wouldn't call that a makeover at all," another viewer shared.

While viewers at home were left unimpressed by the vision, homeowners Elaine and Paul were loving it.

After drawing up plans, the couple decided to go ahead with Chris' intricate design.

With fairy-inspired accents surrounding the garden, the new garden also featured an ornate pergola.

As well as an abundance of plants and a freshly trimmed lawn, a tiled area was also laid to bring some more magic to the space.

BBC Garden Rescue continues on BBC One and iPlayer.
