BBC Garden Rescue fans slam 'embarrassing' makeover saying it's the 'worst transformation ever'

BBC Garden Rescue were extremely disappointed after watching a recent makeover and branded it 'embarrassing'.

Host Charlie Dimmock was faced with the big challenge of transforming a garden at a property in Mickleover.

Homeowners Elaine and Paul, told Charlie all about their love of vintage and especially, 1950's themed interior, music, clothes, and more.

Elaine also told the expert how much she loved fairies and asked Charlie to maybe include that when transforming the garden.

Charlie and Chris created a garden inspired by the vintage rock and roll era of the 1950s with £3000.

The expert also wanted to make sure to include fairies into the space, as per Elaine's request.

And despite the team's hard work, many viewers of the show were left unimpressed as one called it 'embarrassing' while another branded it 'tacky'.

One penned on social media: "£3,000 for that. 2 huge exhausts sticking out a water feature and the new turf looked awful, gaps where it all joined poor workmanship."

Another added: "Wow what a waste of money."

While one said: "Worst garden ever."

Another commented: "That is such a tacky garden. I wouldn't call that a makeover at all."

Despite many fans of the show complaining about the end result, it appeared that homeowners Elaine and Paul loved it.

After looking at the plans, the couple decided to go ahead with Chris' design.

There were many fairy-inspired accents in the new garden as well as an ornate pergola.

The new garden also included various different plants and a freshly trimmed lawn, a tiled area was also laid to bring some more magic to the space.

BBC Garden Rescue continues on BBC One and iPlayer.
