BBC Freeze the Fear: Holly Willoughby in tears over Tamzin Outhwaite injury

Holly Willoughby was left in floods of tears during the Freeze the Fear with Wim Hoff final after Tamzin Outhwaite hit her head during a challenge. The last instalment of the BBC series, in which 12 celebrities gave up their warm cosy lives to live in the Italian mountains in sub-zero conditions, saw the EastEnders alum taken off by medics.

Tamzin was taking part in a dangerous challenge under the water but hit her head on the ice when she came up for air. The accident came minutes after host Holly warned viewers "do not try this at home."

But as Tamzin - who is the cousin of Holly's husband Dan Baldwin - took on the task, Holly could be heard saying: "She hit her head, she hit her head!"

"Are you okay?" a concerned-looking Holly asked as Tamzin came up for air and told the crew: "I banged my head I'm getting out."

"Is your head alright?" Holly asked as her co-host Lee Mack added: "Oh gosh I saw that, that was a nasty whack."

Holly then pulled Tamzin in for a comforting hug before questioning her on whether she needed to see the medic. "She has got a bump on her head," Holly told the crew before Tamzin said: "I might need to sit down."

"We are going to get you checked out, just to make sure everything's okay," Holly told Tamzin, as Lee added: "Yeah, that's a nasty bump that."

Taking in a deep breath as Tamzin went to be checked over, an emotional Holly could be seen putting her head in her hands and bursting into tears. Wiping away tears, Holly said to Lee: "I feel bad because they've got to still do it"

Wim then tells Chelcee Grimes and Professor Green, who were yet to take on the challenge, to stay calm.

"You've just gotta be so careful," Holly warned the contestants. "Guys just be really careful because you saw what happened there, don’t overshoot it."

Speaking to the camera after the accident, Tazmin explained: "I was actually looking forward to it. I was pretty calm, doing really good breathing, and thought I found the rope quite easy.

"I started to see the light and as I came up, I kind of pushed with my feet and I smacked my head on the side of the ice. I've been left with this massive egg-head. Apparently it was worse but it's now calmed down. I haven't looked in the mirror yet because I don't want to scare myself."
