BBC detective drama Rebus faces schedule disruption as BBC confirms change

The BBC has confirmed that regular weekend TV shows face major schedule changes in the coming weeks over the UEFA Euro tournament.

Hosted in Germany, the 2024 Euros will see qualified nations from across Europe go head to head, including Scotland and England.

But to make way for the matches, the BBC has been forced to change its normal programming, and move shows including Rebus from its regular slot.

When is Rebus on TV this week?

Scottish-based detective drama Rebus will make the move from its normal host channel of BBC One to BBC Two to make way for the Euro.

The BBC drama will air after Casualty at the slightly later time of 9.10pm until 9.55pm when it will be followed by Later...with Jools Holland.

Rebus is based on the popular books by Ian Rankin and stars Richard Rankin in the title role as the young John Rebus investigating crimes in modern-day Edinburgh.

The full series is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer but for fans watching on live TV, episode five will mark the series' penultimate episode.

"Rhona makes good on her offer to help Chrissie and her family, while Siobhan's investigation receives a breakthrough from an unexpected source."

Rebus will air on BBC Two on June 15 at 9.10pm.
