The BBC is premiering a new psychological thriller that explores very real and relatable themes.
The programme Chloe will follow the unique character of Becky who compares herself to the picture-perfect lives on Instagram, but often finds herself returning to the same account.
Becky becomes obsessed with Chloe's social media account and clings on to their childhood friendship despite them not speaking to each other for 15 years.

But when Chloe dies suddenly, Becky’s need to find out how and why leads her to assume a new identity and engineer a ‘chance’ meeting with Chloe’s best friend, Livia, and infiltrate Chloe's group of close-knit friends.
Acting as alter-ego Sasha, Becky becomes someone with a life - popular and well connected.
She feels like her pretend life is more exciting and addictive than her real life as Becky.
However, the pretence soon obscures and conflates reality, and Becky risks losing herself completely in the game she is playing.
