BBC Breakfast shake-up sees presenters replaced with solo star

BBC Breakfast viewers were delighted to see a new face on the red sofa following a presenter shake-up.

Usually, Naga Munchetty, Charlie Stayt, Sally Nugent or Jon Kay host the morning show, but today there was only one presenter holding the fort. Fronting the show today was Ben Boulos.

Ben is best known as a news presenter on BBC World News, BBC One and the BBC News channel. He has also appeared on BBC Breakfast to report on UK and global business.

But today he was front and centre of BBC Breakfast as he updated viewers on the latest headlines. Sharing a picture of himself on the BBC Breakfast sofa, Ben said: "Very excited to be presenting #BBCBreakfast @BBCBreakfast for the first time this morning."

BBC viewers were overjoyed to see him on screen. Taking to Twitter, one user, Bazza said: "Great to see the lovely @BenMBoulos on Breakfast this morning." Shaun added: "It was lovely to see you on the red sofa when I switched on the tv this morning."

Jonathan said: "So good to see you on the red sofa, presenting @BBCBreakfast." Adrian said: "A belated Christmas gift to your viewers, @BenMBoulos. It's always a delight to see you on telly!"

And Neil added: "At last you're in command of the Red Sofa Ben!! Good Morning!"
