BBC Breakfast star Nina Warhurst has been left emotional after a co-star on the BBC One show left a sweet message declaring their love for her.
The TV presenter is a familiar face on the BBC Breakfast red sofa as a stand-in anchor for the likes of Sally Nugent and Naga Munchetty, also presenting her own business segment on the show.
Nina has now shared a sweet note left by one of her co-stars written onto one of her morning newspapers.
Taking to Twitter, Nina shared a snap of the front page of one of this week’s Financial Times, along with an annotated copy of her notes for the programme and a BBC Breakfast embossed mug.
In the background, Sally Nugent and co-host Ben Thompson could be seen preparing to go on air on the main sofa.
Underneath the newspaper’s official title was a note which read: “We love you Nina,” complete with two doodled love hearts.
An emotional Nina took to social media to share the sweet snap, telling fans: “It’s the little things.
“Like coming into the studio to a motivational note from a member of the studio team. BBC Breakfast gang is my fave.”
Adding a red love heart emoji to her own post, Nina left fans clamouring to respond in her post.
Taking to the comments section, one fan said: “And so do we!” as someone else posted: “Love BBC1 for the early morning start, it’s like a cosy family. All the important stuff and a few giggles on the way. Great stuff.”
Someone else cheekily quipped about the note: “Hold on, that’s your handwriting!” as Nina hit back: “Ok. A member of the team. I never said which!”
This came as talk show legend Michael Parkinson made a very rare TV appearance on the BBC show on Thursday morning.
Parky, as the 87-year-old is affectionately known, stopped by the BBC studios to talk about his new book written with his son Mike.
The veteran star has kept a low profile in recent years after stepping down from his hugely successful chat show in 2004.
Presenter Naga Munchetty asked the much-loved presenter: "Do you get sick of seeing the TV clips?"
To which Michael replied: "Do I get sick of it? Absolutely. I don't recognise the person."
Viewers loved the interview, but were concerned over Sir Michael's frail-looking appearance.
Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "Wow. When you haven't seen someone on screen for a long time you expect them to stay looking like that forever. Didn't recognise Michael Parkinson until he spoke."
