BBC Breakfast star Naga Munchetty has shared the sad news that her beloved pet cat Missy has died.
The TV presenter, 47, posted a string of shots of her beloved pet as she updated fans of her devastating news.
"Said goodbye to our darling, sweet girl Missy yesterday," Naga tweeted.
"She may have been small, but she was immense in stature.
"The sweetest cat I've ever loved. She's left a massive hole in our hearts and home."
Pet lovers who follow the former Strictly star were quick to comment on the news and offered their support.
One follower wrote: "So sorry to hear that Naga. What a beauty she was. Much love."
Another added: "So sorry to hear this. It is the saddest time."
Others added: "Sorry for your loss, she's a beautiful girl," "I'm so sorry to hear this news Naga. Much love to you," and: "Oh Naga, so sorry to hear that, sending hugs xx."
The BBC anchor regularly shared photos of her beloved cat on social media.
Naga, who is married to James Haggar, earlier this year shared a shot of a chill out evening with Missy and their two other cats, who are named Xena, and Bella, showing how much she enjoys spending time with them.
The shot saw her relaxing on a cream leather sofa, with one cat comfortably settled on her lap, one laying on the top of the sofa by her head and a third curled up next to her.
A glass of red wine was balanced on the arm of the chair and Naga captioned the picture simply: "Bliss."
Her fans rushed to comment, with one remarking: "Would love to see you do a news segment like this.... bliss news, calming us all!!" A second quipped: "Purrrfectly chilled."
And animal lover Naga previously told Mail Online: "I was born and bred in south London, so living in Hertfordshire is a big change and I love it.
"I can look out of the window and see nothing but fields, and I feel very safe here. I wanted a dog, but it wouldn't wouldn't fit our lifestyle, so we got the cats and they're our pride and joy."
Naga and James previously shared Siamese cats Kinky and Ronnie.
