BBC Breakfast saw a major shake-up on the Saturday morning slot, as presenter Charlie Stayt was absent from the red sofa alongside Naga Munchetty.
The veteran TV presenter was replaced by Roger Johnson on the weekend instalment of the BBC show.
Charlie, 60, and Naga, 47, usually present the show together from Thursday to Saturday each week, with temporary presenters tending to fill up the couch on a Sunday.
However, Charlie was noticeably absent from the studio this morning as Roger, 53, filled his spot.
Roger and Naga were joined by weather presenter Matt Taylor for an overview of the day's forecast – but fans took to social media to discuss Charlie’s absence.
Clearly divided by the move to switch Charlie for Roger, one fan took to Twitter to pen: "Spock pulled me through as we went warp factor 2. Where's Charlie Stayt?"
Meanwhile, others were pleased to see Roger and Naga on their screens, as another viewer wrote: "Waking up to two of your favourite tv hosts @TVNaga01 & @RogerJ_01 presenting @BBCBreakfast - you know it’ll be a good Saturday!"
A third user praised Roger as a "class act" and "serious journalist".
This comes after the show has undergone an extensive shake-up after Dan Walker announced he would be leaving the programme to go to Channel 5.
The BBC confirmed Jon Kay as Dan Walker's replacement on BBC Breakfast alongside Sally Nugent on the famous red sofa each weekday morning following Dan's exit in May.
The news of Jon's appointment came as it was confirmed Victoria Derbyshire will become joint lead presenter on Newsnight in September.
Dan took to Twitter to wish his successor well in his former role – with Jon telling the Channel 5 star he had "set a very high bar".
"I’m over the moon to become the new regular presenter of BBC Breakfast and I’m looking forward to bringing our brilliant viewers the very latest news each morning alongside my good friend Sally and the rest of the team," Jon said in a statement as the news was revealed.
"Sitting on the famous red sofa is a real privilege while covering the stories and issues that matter to our audience – home and abroad."
As the news broke, Dan took to Twitter to share: "Brilliant news. Congratulations @jonkay01. Great bloke, top presenter and much loved by the #BBCBreakfast team."
"Thanks so much, Dan," Jon replied via a quote-tweet. "You set a very high bar, my friend."
