BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty berated her co-host while they discussed a “simple” festive tradition.
The 47-year-old morning telly favourite was talking about their preferences for Christmas Day food – including putting gravy on a roast.
Naga and her fellow star Roger Johnson, 53, discussed controversial veg when the conversation turned to the humble Brussels sprout.
Roger admitted his family were "going to do things differently this year" and opt for a beef roast and may even forego the sprouts all together.
Naga jumped at Roger over the comment, firing: “Why won't you have sprouts? I love sprouts."
She admitted that she puts a “twist” on her little green veggies.
The presenter explained: "If I can, I have them with onion and pancetta," to which Roger said: "Ah that's a Jamie Oliver recipe!"
Naga snapped back: "Yes, and many others. It's quite a simple recipe really."
Chef Jamie Oliver is well-known for his visionary sprout recipe, in which he recommends cooking them with Cumberland sausage and sage.
Naga told how she’d be having “simple” sprouts this year but would be treating herself to “posh gravy” on Christmas Day.
She’ll likely spend the special occasion with husband James Hoggar.
Earlier this month, Naga opened up about the terrifying moment she was 'intimidated' by a man as she walked home alone.
She shared her own experience of becoming frightened on the street after previously sparking discussion about women's safety.
As part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign series, Naga told of her experience.
She said: "I have had it where I've walked along the street and a guy has said, ‘Hi, you're looking great’ and I just look at them and think inside, I'm fuming. I haven't invited that. You're intimidating me.
"Then you respond and you say, ‘Thanks’ and you carry on walking or you look down and walk on and then they turn around and go, ‘Hey, I'm talking to you. What's your name?’ I don't want to give you my name.
"And then you say, ‘I'm really busy, nice to meet you’ and you move on. But then you’re like ‘Oh what, you’re too good to talk to me?’
"It's one very specific example but you know this scenario happens and it does happen."
