Theo Burrell said it was "devastating" as she opened up on her brain cancer diagnosis.
The expert is renowned for her role as a specialist on Antiques Roadshow. The 35-year-old has revealed she was diagnosed with an incurable aggressive grade 4 brain tumour last year.
The mum has spoken about her diagnosis to BBC Radio 5Live as she said: "It was shattering, it was devastating, it was absolutely shocking.

"Thinking that I'm going to miss out on a lot of my son's life and he's going out miss out on having me around very likely. I'm grieving that in some ways. I will never get over that. Nothing ever eases that pain I never feel better about that and I don't think I ever will.
"I feel very grateful to have my healthy son but to think that I will probably miss out on the majority of his life. There's no words to describe how that makes me feel."
Theo is now focusing her efforts on fundraising as she's hosting a charity auction in aid of the brain tumour charity. She said: "I hope that by doing this auction, by speaking out that I show my son a little of who I am and what's important to me. He will be able to look at this work and hopefully feel proud of what we've managed to achieve."
