An Antiques Roadshow guest was speechless after an expert said her father's police helmet, worn once by John Lennon, is worth up to £8,000.
The Beatles were performing at Birmingham Hippodrome in 1963 and required police escorts. However, in one hilarious photo, the band took the helmets of the officers and posed for a photo.
Telling the tale was the daughter of officer Igor Gordon Russell, whose helmet John Lennon sported. She explained how the Fab Four were very easy-going and how much her father respected the band.

Along with the helmet and the photo, Igor's daughter also brought a signed book, containing all four of The Beatles' signatures. While the family heirloom was not up for sale, expert Marc Allum was in awe of the memorabilia.
He said: "Now it's a story really that's gone down in pop legends. We're talking about the height of Beatlemania here."
Picking up the helmet Marc added: "This is an object with a great deal of provenance, you know it's a brilliant cohesive story. Here we have John Lennon in the middle, doing his policeman salute.
"This is the actual helmet in that photograph on John Lennon's head. I can't help thinking that this helmet has a bit of John Lennon's DNA on it and that's what kind of makes it so special in a way.
"So what we've got to do is talk about value and it's a really difficult one. Collecting Beatles memorabilia is still a really hot area. I know you're unlikely to sell, but if I'm going to have a go at putting a value on it.
"I think if this came up at a really good pop and rock memorabilia auction that it would make somewhere between £5,000 to £8,000."
His daughter was stunned and could only say 'wow' at the valuation.
