Bayern Munich stars have three main complaints about manager Julian Nagelsmann

It is safe to say that Bayern Munich haven't made the greatest start to the season, with the German giants currently third in the Bundesliga, having won just four of their opening nine league matches.

Julian Nagelsmann has since been put under increased pressure following their below-par start, with Union Berlin and Freiburg both above Bayern in the table. They have begun their Champions League campaign brilliantly, however, and sit at the top of their group after winning their opening three matches.

Bayern face Victoria Plzen on Wednesday night, looking to extend their 100% start in Europe so far this season. But it's in the league where Bayern's struggles lie and the players have reportedly complained about Nagelsmann, listing three main issues with their manager.

According to SportBILD, the Bayern squad are unhappy with Nagelsmann's handling of in-game situations and the fact he doesn't successfully react to situations that arise. The German giants were held to a 2-2 draw against Borrusia Dortmund in 'Der Klassiker' on Saturday, with Leon Goretska and Leroy Sane scoring for Bayern.

However, Kingsley Coman was sent off in the dying enviers, moments after Anthony Modeste had equalised for Dortmund. Nagelsmann cut a frustrated figure after the game as he saw his Bayern side drop more points in the Bundesliga, and although they currently sit above Dortmund, it doesn't help their momentum to catch Union.

Another problem raised by the players was that Nagelsmann makes "inexplicable substitutions" and doesn't make the correct "tactical switches mid-games". Nagelsmann made all five subs in their trip to the Signal Iduna Park on Saturday, with left-back Alfonso Davies and attacking midfielder Marcel Sabitzer both going off at half-time.

Joshua Kimmich and Coman both came on - neither of which are left-backs, making the decision to substitute off Davies a bizarre idea on paper. However, Nagelsmann changed up his shape to make his side more attacking and front-footed. They added a second goal shortly into the second-half, but would end up letting a two-goal slip thanks to Youssoufa Moukoko and Modeste's strike.

The final issue amongst the Bayern squad is that Nagelsmann is supposedly running a 'one-man show' and has an impulsive appearance on the sideline. It is his impulsiveness that has caused some concern amongst the Bayern squad who are not a fan of his touchline demeanour.

Nagelsmann's management style leads with great emotion and uses that to motivate the players on a weekly basis. It is also said that the former RB Leipzig coach is very authoritative and likes to lead by example.
